Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal has finally bitten the dust at the club, after getting sacked.
The Dutch manager was sacked after winning the FA cup for the club, but also recorded a low of 49 league goals scored.
And two seasons into his three-year contract, the powers that be have decided to send him packing.
Van Gaal’s departure comes two years after his appointment, with the manager guiding the club to a fourth-placed finish in his first season.
However, United missed out on qualification for the Champions League – which they exited at the group stages this term – in his second campaign despite spending around £250 million on new players during Van Gaal’s reign.
United have now failed to finish in the top-three since Sir Alex Ferguson’s last season in charge, when they won the league in 2012-13.
